12.0 – Powering the System
As a passive loudspeaker, HALO-C can be used with any amplifier and processor
combination. The information below details configuring a DQ Series amplifier for HALO-C
and HALO-CS enclosures specifically. Please refer to the DQ Series User Manual for
detailed information on using the amplifiers and the System Engineer software.

12.1 - Amplifier and Processing Requirements

12.1.1 – Amplifier Requirements
We recommend using the DQ Series of advanced system amplifiers, or a 3
amplifier in conjunction with the DSC48 controller. If using a 3
take note of the recommended specifications: -
Product
HALO-C
HALO-CS
These amplifier powers can be scaled up – for example for running four HALO-C
enclosures in parallel from the same amplifier channel, we would recommend an amplifier
capable of delivering 2500-3000 watts into a 2-ohm load.
NOTE:
A small amplifier working too hard is much more likely to damage your loudspeakers than
a large amplifier working well within its limits!
