Initial commissioning
4.1
Commissioning

The scope of commissioning depends on the
product variant ordered.
1. Remove the packaging from all components
supplied.
2. Fit mounting for BEA 070 (fig. 5, item 2) to the
trolley.

The mounting must always be attached firmly to
the trolley to prevent the suspended BEA 070 from
dropping.

3. Attach BEA 070 (fig. 5, item 1) in the mounting and,
if wished for, plug the USB connection cable on the
BEA 070 and USB port to the front of the computer
(fig. 1, item 9).
4. Connect power supply cable to the BEA 070 and to
the socket strip (fig. 1, item 10 or fig. 4, item 6).
5. Connect sensors, exhaust gas sampling probe and
adapter cables to their intended slots on BEA 030,
BEA 055, BEA 070, and KTS module (see the
relevant operating instructions).

The voltage supply for KTS 560 or KTS 590 must be
connected by means of the barrel connector with
label "⌀2.5 KTS560" on the trolley. The voltage
supply for other KTS modules or BEA 030 must be
connected by means of the barrel connector with
label "⌀2.1".
6. Remove transportation safeguards from laser
printer in accordance with the enclosed
instructions. Place laser printer (fig. 1, item 7
or fig. 3, item 3) in the trolley and connect it.
Power supply cable and USB connecting cable are
provided in the trolley, ready to be connected.

4.2
Prior to switching on the first time
The voltage supply is provided by the mains voltage
system. BEA 950 is set to 220 VAC $ 240 VAC,
50/60 Hz.

The BEA 950 with the "Medium" trolley (product
version 0 684 123 359) is designed for a voltage
supply of 110 VAC $ 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Note the relevant information on the label on the front
of the EPS BEA 950.

Before commissioning, ensure that the voltage
in the mains voltage system matches the voltage
setting of BEA 950. If BEA 950 is operated
outdoors, we recommend using a voltage source
that is protected by a ground fault interrupter
(GFI).

The laser printer is designed for a voltage supply of
220 VAC $ 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
4.3
Language selection in Windows
When the unit is switched on for the first time, select
the language of the Windows operating system from
the menu and follow the on-screen instructions (see
"Computer" operating instructions).

The language cannot be changed later any more. If
this proves necessary, please contact your Bosch
authorized dealer.

Commissioning of BEA 030,
BEA 055, BEA 070 and KTS module
Commissioning of BEA 030, BEA 055 and BEA 070 is
described in the enclosed operating instructions and
in the Online Help from CDC. The enclosed operating
instructions and the Online Help from DDC describe
the commissioning of the KTS module. Commissioning
of the laser printer is described in the enclosed
operating instructions.
