AMIBIOS Displayed Error Messages

Error message are displayed as follows:
ERROR Message Line 1
ERROR Message Line 2
followed by
Press the <F1> key to continue
and the system halts. The system does not halt if Wait for <F1> If
Any Error in ADVANCED CMOS SETUP is Disabled. If a second
message appears, it is:
RUN SETUP UTILITY.
Error Message
8042 Gate-A20 Gate A20 on the keyboard controller (8042) is not
Error working. Replace the 8042.
Address Line An error has occurred in the address decoding circuitry
Short! on the motherboard.
C: Drive Error Drive C: may be missing. If installed, run the Hard Disk
Utility to correct this problem. Also, check the C: hard
disk type in STANDARD CMOS SETUP to make sure
that the hard disk drive type is correct.
C: Drive Failure No response from hard disk drive C:. Replace drive C:.
Cache Memory Cache memory on the motherboard is defective. Test
Bad, Do Not cache memory with AMIDiag.
Enable Cache!
CH-2 Timer An error occurred with timer 2.
Error
CMOS Battery CMOS RAM is powered by a battery. The battery power
State Low is low. Replace the battery.
CMOS After CMOS RAM settings are saved, a checksum is
Checksum generated. This message appears if the previous
Failure checksum differs from the current checksum. Run
AMIBIOS Setup.
CMOS System The values stored in CMOS RAM are either corrupt or
