Mounting and removal

WARNING: Dangerous contact voltage
Only mount and remove the Smart Camera Box when it is de-energized.
WARNING: Fall hazard
– The Smart Camera Box may need to be mounted and removed by two people.
– When using climbing and assembly aids, such as ladders or raised platforms, the rel-
evant safety regulations must be observed.
– Always ensure they are stable.
4.1.1 Mounting location
The Smart Camera Box is envisaged for fixed installation indoors or outdoors.
– Only mount the Smart Camera Box in a level position with the cable glands pointing
downward.
– Install the Smart Camera Box in an area that may only be accessed by authorized indi-
viduals.
– The Smart Camera Box must be freely accessible at all times in case of emergency, for
operation, and for maintenance work.
– Install the Smart Camera Box on a mast or on a level, load-bearing wall.
– Use mounting material that is suitable for the substrate.
– Protect the Smart Camera Box from direct sunlight.
– Ensure that the Smart Camera Box is not in the proximity of frequency converters, de-
vices with high power ratings, and heat sources. Heat generation and interference from
neighboring devices can cause malfunctions.
– When working on the Smart Camera Box, make sure that there is sufficient room to
move. Also ensure that there is sufficient space available for mounting, operation, and
maintenance.
