EXCALIBUR LOG REPORTS
EXCALIBUR LOG REPORTS PROGRAM
The Excalibur Log Reports program allows the operator to
view log files, print log reports, or backup the log files onto a
floppy disc. This program can be run from the Excalibur
program or as a stand-alone program. It may be installed on
the Excalibur workstation, or on another PC on the network, or
even on a stand-alone PC if the log files are loaded from a
floppy disc.
To start Excalibur Log Reports from within the Excalibur
program, select the "Log View/Backup" menu item (page 2-8).
To operate Excalibur Log Reports as a stand-alone program,
select its icon from the Excalibur Program Group window.
The operator must have Logs View/Backup privilege to start
this program. The operator password must also be entered.
After correct entry of the password, the Excalibur Log Reports
window provides a menu bar for the following functions:

About
If Log Reports is started from within the Excalibur program,
any armed alarms are still active. If an alarm occurs while
making a report, the Log Reports program is stopped and
Excalibur becomes the active window, displaying the alarm.
After responding to the alarm, select the "Log View/Backup"
menu item in Excalibur to return to Log Reports.
Excalibur Log Reports allocates a block of memory directly
proportional to the number of operators and alarm/control
points. If a large number of operators and/or alarm/control
points are defined, there may not be enough memory in the
computer to start Log Reports while running the Excalibur
program. If this is the case, either run Log Reports on another
PC, exit Excalibur before starting Log Reports, or increase the
memory in the computer. If other programs are operating on
the computer, exit those programs to free memory.
Reports
The Reports menu function creates a report that can be viewed
on-screen or printed on a printer. When "Reports" is selected
from the menu bar, a Log Data Report dialog box, illustrated
below, is displayed for defining report search parameters. The
current log file is used for the report unless an alternate log file
has been selected (see "Select Files", page 3-4).
