The NAS has four memory slots. You can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by upgrading the memory module. Use only QNAP modules of the same type and capacity to maintain system performance and stability. You can purchase QNAP memory modules from authorized resellers.

Check the value for Total memory. Replacing Expansion Cards The TS-h1283XU-RP supports selected expansion cards, some of which require QNAP low-profile PCIe brackets. QNAP-branded expansion cards purchased from the company website are shipped with the brackets necessary to fit all QNAP NAS models.

TS-h1283XU-RP User Guide Hot-Swapping Redundant Power Supplies NAS devices with redundant power supply units (PSUs) support hot-swapping. Warning The NAS may have one or more power supply unit (PSU) cords. To avoid serious injuries, a trained service technician must disconnect all PSU cords before installing or replacing system components.
You can find installation information in the rail kit package. Expansion Unit Installation The TS-h1283XU-RP supports SAS expansion units, USB expansion units, and SATA JBOD expansion units.
