e) Mounting the elevator unit

• The elevator unit (1) is attached to the end of the fuse-
lage from above, exactly aligned and then attached to
the fuselage using two 2 x 8 mm screws (2).
The control lever for the rudder (3) must point upwards.
• The two distances C must have the same length. In ad-
dition, the ends of the elevator unit must have the same
distance „D" to the wings.
Practical flying tips:
You can quickly detect a slant of the elevator
unit when looking at the model from the rear
from some distance.
If necessary, slide small strips of paper between
the fuselage and the tail unit to compensate any
slants.

f) Linkage of the elevator

• Suspend the fork head (1) of the elevator linkage (the
right linkage seen from flight direction) into the central
boring of the elevator lever (2). The elevator lever (3)
should now be precisely in the middle.
If you look at your model from a distance from the rear,
you can immediately see whether the elevator is in the
middle or points slightly upwards or downwards.
• If necessary, you can change the length of the control
rods (4) by twisting the detached fork head and thus ad-
just the elevator flap precisely.
