2.8.3. Thermal hazards

When operating the unit, take the following thermal hazards into account.

When working in the radiation field it is absolutely necessary to wear
protective clothing (gloves, protective eyewear).

If the reflector is temporarily covered with a visor, ensure adequate
ventilation between aperture and filter disc to avoid a heat accumula-
tion.

Operate unit only in fixed-mounted state.

Don´t irradiate flammable or combustible substances.

Never perform an irradiation procedure unattended.

The unit can heat up to a temperature of 60°C during operation. There
is a risk of burns. It must be ensured that the unit cannot be touched.

The radiation can lead to heating-up of the irradiated surface, in par-
ticular in the case of dark surfaces. There is a risk of burns.

Under no circumstances must the unit be operated in the vicinity of
flammable or explosive materials, gases or liquids. There is an acute
risk of fire or explosion.

The unit must cool sufficiently long before it is opened for maintenance
and repair work.

After switching off the device requires therefore at least 10 minutes
cooling.

2.9. Maintenance and fault removal

All necessary maintenance tasks are described in the chapter Service,
Maintenance and Cleaning". Carrying this out ensures reliable operation.
 No repairs or alterations except those described in these Operating
Instructions may be made to the unit.
 Should a fault occur in the unit that cannot be rectified with the help of
the Operating Instructions, the Dr. Hönle AG Customer Service de-
partment must be contacted.
 Use only original spare and wear parts manufactured by Dr. Hönle
AG.
 There is no guarantee that other manufacturers' parts are designed
and manufactured to meet the required standards of robustness and
safety.
 Parts that are not in flawless condition must be replaced immediately.
 No changes, additions or modifications may be made to the LED
Powerline ACIC without the approval of Dr. Hönle AG.
