3 Information collection

3.1 Exporting Configuration Data

This section describes the steps for exporting configuration data.
Context
The configuration data includes the information about RAID groups, mapping configuration of
LUNs, disks, IP addresses of the iSCSI host ports, and rate of the FC host ports.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the OSM.

Step 2 On the main menu, click System.
Step 3 In the navigation tree, click Import/Export Operation.
Step 4 On the Import/Export Operation interface, click Export.
The File Download dialog box is displayed.
Step 5 Click Save.
The Save As dialog box is displayed.
Step 6 Select a path to save the file. Enter the file name in the File Name dialog box. The file name
contains a maximum of 200 characters which includes the extension name.

CAUTION
The type of the file exported from the configuration data is *.DAT. The default file name is
db.DAT. Do not change the contents of the configuration file.
Exporting configuration data can only be performed on the primary controller.
Do not perform other operations during the process of exporting configuration data.
