If an alarm that is related to the FC host port is displayed on the alarm interface, handle it by
referring to the suggestion in the alarm items.
If the fault persists, contact the technical support engineers.

5.9 Browsing Current Alarms

This section describes how to browse current alarms through the OSM.
Reference Standard
User can browse current alarms in the operation interface.
Precaution
The current alarms include the current fault and the current event.
By creating the Trap IP through the Configuration Operation of the OSM, the S5000 storage
system can send the Trap alarms to the network management system. These alarms can be
permanently stored even at the time of power failure.

Description
This parameter indicates the number of an FC host port.
If the type of host port module is 2*FC, the port number is x0 and x1 (x

indicates the host port module ID).
If the type of host port module is 4*FC, the port number is x0, x1, x2, and
l
x3 (x indicates the host port module ID).
The world-wide name of a port. It uniquely identifies a port.
This parameter indicates the type of the FC host port.
This parameter indicates the data transmission rate of the FC host port.
If each host port module consists of 4*FC, the options will be changed with
l
the product type:
S5300:1 Gbit/s, 2 Gbit/s, 4 Gbit/s, and Auto.
S5500: 2 Gbit/s and 4 Gbit/s.
S5600:2 Gbit/s and 4 Gbit/s.
S6800E:1 Gbit/s, 2 Gbit/s, 4 Gbit/s, and Auto.
there are two options: 2 Gbit/s and 4 Gbit/s.
If the host port module consists of 2*FC, there are four options: 1 Gbit/s,
l
2 Gbit/s, 4 Gbit/s, and Auto.
This parameter indicates the mode of the FC host port, including Fabric,
Arbitrated Loop and Point to Point.
