Provides a link to your LAN that passes
through the NJ105 IntelliJack. The data or
voice traffic is separate from and unaffected
by the NJ105 switch.
Lights when the IntelliJack is connected to—
and forwarding power to—an IEEE 802.3af-
compliant device. For more information, see
"Checking the LEDs" on page 12.
Local power supply cable strain relief.
The NJ105 can be powered from a local
power supply (available for purchase from
3Com). This is required if your network does
not support Power Over Ethernet (PoE).
Connects directly to your LAN (located on the
front of the NJ105.) Black cable, no LED.
Connects the NJ105 switched RJ-45ports to
the Ethernet LAN. Make sure the port on the
network switch to which the NJ105 is
connected is configured as a standard MDI-X
port.
