Throttle IDLE

Apply full rudder deflection in direction opposite the spin

Lower the nose towards the ground to build speed (Stick forward)

As rotation stops, neutralize rudder
Establish horizontal flight without exceeding g-load or airspeed lim-

itations

3.7 FIRE IN FLIGHT

3.7.1

SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT

If smoke and/or fumes are detected in the cabin, check the engine parame-
ters for any sign of malfunction. If a fuel leak has occurred, actuation of elec-
trical components may cause a fire. If there is a strong smell of fuel in the
cockpit, divert to the nearest suitable landing field. Perform an Emergency
Landing and shut down the fuel supply to the engine once a safe landing
is assured.
