D. Venting Systems
Chimney Connector:
It is also known as flue pipe or stove pipe. It must be 152mm
minimum diameter stainless steel connector pipe. (Solid or
Flex and must run the entire chimney)
Chimney:
The chimney can be new or existing, masonry or
prefabricated and must meet the following minimum
requirements as specified below.

Follow venting manufacturer's clearances
and instructions when installing venting
system.
E. Inspections
Existing chimneys should be inspected and cleaned by a
qualified professional prior to installation. The chimney
must not have cracks, loose mortar or other signs of
deterioration and blockage. Hearth & Home recommends a
certified professional or a technician, under the direction of
a certified professional.

Fire Risk.
Inspection of Chimney:
Chimney must be in good condition.
Factory-built chimney must be 152mm.
F. Larger Chimneys
Per Australian Standard, all fireplace inserts being installed
into an existing masonry fireplaces require a full 152 (6")
liner
