Maintenance and Cleaning

For best performance, always keep the saw blade and the reciprocating saw in
good order.
Before carrying out any work on the reciprocating saw, unplug the power plug
from the wall socket.
To clean the blade clamp, slightly pat the pivoting shoe of the reciprocating
saw on an even surface. To remove bigger cutting residue, clean the blade
clamp with a paintbrush of pressurized air.
Clean the housing with a cloth, a paintbrush or a brush to remove dust and
wood splinters. Keep the ventilation slots clean and opened. Do not allow
swarf to enter the ventilation slots.
Never use benzene or similar aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning,
in order not to damage the reciprocating saw.
Make sure liquids of any kind cannot enter the reciprocating saw.
From time to time, check that all screws and parts of the reciprocating saw
are firmly secured.
