1. Fasten the workpiece in a suitable vice before cutting. If possible, remove any
foreign bodies such as nails, screws etc. or make sure not to cut the foreign
bodies with a saw blade that is not suitable for this work.
2. Plug the power plug into a wall socket. Always hold the reciprocating saw
tightly with both hands. According to the cutting direction hold the reciprocat-
ing saw with one hand on the trigger handle (G) and with the other hand
either under or above of the locking lever (F). Never reach over the blade
clamp or the pivoting shoe. There is danger of injury!
3. To switch ON the reciprocating saw, press the ON/OFF trigger (A). To
increase the stroke rate, turn the continuously adjustable stroke controller (I)
to the desired speed. Die stroke rate can also be changed during operation.
4. Allow the saw blade to operate under no load and press the quick release
button (B) inwards in order to fix the ON/OFF trigger (A) and to cut with con-
stantly maximum speed.
Do not start cutting, if the saw blade is inside the workpiece or contacts the
surface of an object. There is danger of serious injury or damages.
5. First, allow the saw blade to run and than bring the pivoting shoe (D) into
contact with the workpiece surface. Only use even pressure when operating
the reciprocating saw.
6. To switch OFF the reciprocating saw, first remove the saw blade from the
workpiece and press the ON/OFF trigger in order to release the quick release
button. Release the ON/OFF trigger. After the saw blade comes to standstill,
put the reciprocating saw down.
