Intended Use
The EPOCH 6LT is designed to perform nondestructive inspections of industrial and commercial
materials. Do not use the EPOCH 6LT for any purpose other than its intended use.
Instruction Manual

product as instructed. The User's Manual contains essential information on how to use this Olympus
product safely and effectively. Keep the User's Manual in a safe, accessible location.

  • Page 2 Mini USB B connector AC Adaptor An AC adaptor is provided with every instrument. This adaptor is used to power the EPOCH 6LT with or without a battery installed and charge the rechargeable lithium-ion battery while installed in the instrument.

  • Page 3: Charging The Lithium-Ion Battery

    The EPOCH 6LT charges the internal battery while it is connected to the AC adaptor. IMPORTANT The battery is not fully charged when the EPOCH 6LT is shipped. You must charge the battery for two to three hours before using battery power to operate the instrument.

  • Page 4: Battery Precautions

    Grasp the tab on the battery and pull it up to release and remove the battery. Align the contacts of a fully charged replacement battery with the contacts inside the EPOCH 6LT battery compartment, and then insert the battery into the battery compartment.

  • Page 5: Electrical Warnings

    Do not expose a battery to moisture or rain; doing so could cause an electric shock. • Only use the EPOCH 6LT or an external charger approved by Olympus to charge the batteries. • Only use batteries supplied by Olympus.
