Video Output
You can enjoy high quality image through RGB or Component video
Video
connections. RGB video output is available connecting scart jack(AV1)
|
and component video output is available connecting component (Y, P
|
P
) jack. Only one of these signals can be selected at one time.

In Component mode, you can set video output to Progressive (P.SCAN) or
Interlace, see pages 39 to 40.
When the HDMI cable (not supplied) is not connected, available video

When the HDMI cable(not supplied) is connected, RGB output does
not operate. Video output is set to Component.

This setting is used when the unit is connected by HDMI with Display

Output selection

Connect the HDD & DVD Recorder to your TV via HDMI.
Set your TV's input to HDMI.
Press the P.SCAN button while the unit is in Stop mode to select the
output resolution.
- If your TV is connected the HDMI cable, the output resolution mode
changes in the following sequence each time you press the P.SCAN
button:
➞ 576P ➞ 720P ➞ 1080i
- If your TV is connected the AV or component cables(without HDMI
cable), the output resolution mode toggles 576P/576i in turn.
