13 Extension and modification
Explosion hazard due to inadmissible modification!
Any unauthorized modification results in the loss of the explosion protection.

Modifications exceeding the extent described in these operating instructions
are not permitted.
▶
The pilot control valve may not be disassembled.
13.1 Modification of the valve to solenoid-actuated unloading
Explosion hazard due to ignitable atmosphere during modification of the valve
to solenoid-actuated unloading!
During modification, there must not be an explosive atmosphere. During work at
the valve, this condition could trigger an ignition which may lead to an explosion.

Before modification of the valve to solenoid-actuated unloading, ensure that
no explosive atmosphere can occur during the work.
Explosion hazard!
A valve which is not approved for the area of application (solenoid-actuated
unloading) may cause an explosion!

Prior to modification, it must be checked whether category and protection
class which result from the combination of pressure relief valve and directional
valve meet the requirements of the relevant potentially explosive area.

Other modifications are not admissible. In particular, the pilot control valve (4)
must not be removed from the main stage (5).

The modification to solenoid-actuated unloading may only be made prior
to commissioning.
Damage to persons and property caused by faulty assembly!
If the cover plate (2) and the sealing plate (3) have been removed for modification
to solenoid-actuated unloading, leakage and thus damage to persons and property
may result in case of faulty re-assembly of the sealing plate on the pressure
relief valve.

After disassembly of the cover plate (2) and the sealing plate (3), see below,
they must not be reattached at the pressure relief valve.

In case reassembly of the cover plate and the sealing plate is required, send the
pressure relief valve to Bosch Rexroth, see chapter 16.1 "List of addresses".
