Switching on

1. Press key [1] to switch the UPS on. A short audible signal confirms that the UPS is on. After the completion of the
initialisation stage (notification LED yellow [2]), if the input is connected to the power network (notification LED green
[2]) the unit starts sending power to the output in the normal manner. If there is no power at the input, the UPS
powers the output through battery operation (notification LED yellow [2]).
2. Switch the loads on and check that after the possible bypass activation there is a return to normal operation
(notification LED green [2]).
In case of extended overload, the bypass remains active and the status indicator flashes red [2].
3.4

Operation

There are three possible operating modes:
- through the power network: normal operating mode. The input voltage is converted by the Power Factor Correction
(PFC) unit into direct voltage. The batteries are recharged and the inverter rebuilds the sinusoidal voltage from the direct
voltage. A filter further improves the wave shape of the output voltage.
- battery operation: the UPS automatically switches to battery operation if there is no power from the power network
connection. The battery voltage is increased by an appropriate circuit. The inverter rebuilds the sinusoidal voltage from
the direct voltage. A filter further improves the wave shape of the output voltage.
- bypass operation: the bypass circuit excludes the UPS and directly connects the output to the input. Switching is
synchronised, in order to always ensure the correct output voltage, avoiding interruptions or overvoltages.

Switching off

To switch the UPS off, press the ON/OFF pushbutton [1] for approximately 2 seconds. An intermittent audible signal while
the key is being pressed confirms that the unit is switching off. The UPS is off when the operating status [2] indicator is off.

-
Normal operation with mains present and load within the limits
The frequency of the output voltage is not synchronised with the
frequency of the input voltage. The reason can be:
-
- Disabled PLL
- Input voltage frequency outside the limits of the UPS.
Battery mode operation
-
Bypass operation
It can indicate 2 different conditions:
- overload;
- faulty UPS. In this case, turn the UPS off and contact the LEGRAND
Technical Support Service.
UPS anomalies or faults
CAUTION! Turn the UPS off and contact the
LEGRAND Technical Support Service.
