3.3.2.2 Connections with a Custom Power Box

Necessary parts
• Custom Power Box.
• Multi power cables.
• Outdoor Spider connector with Spider support bracket.
• Power linking cables.
• Cable ties.
• Dummy Power Plugs.
Power connections
1. Install the Custom Power Box on a safe location near by the SLite display.
2. Connect a multi power cable, with an adapted length, with one of the multi pole connectors on the Custom Power Box. (im-
age 3-19)
3. Connect the other side of the multi power cable with an Spider connector near by the SLite display. Use the Spider support
bracket to attach the Spider connector to the back of the display wall. (image 3-20)
4. Check if the correct sealing rings are present in the connector sockets of the connection module located at the back side of each
tile. Replace damaged sealing rings immediately. Use the correct sealing ring for the corresponding socket. Black colored ring
for power, red for data. (image 3-21)
5. Start creating power branches by connecting the output cables of the Spider connector with the power input socket of the lowest
tile in a column of maximum three.
6. Complete each power branch by connecting a maximum of three tiles with power linking cables to each other in a daisy chain
manner.
Warning: Maximum 3 (three) tiles per branch are allowed. Connecting more then three tiles with one output cable will overload
the circuit.
7. Terminate the power output socket of the last tile in each column with a Dummy Power Plug. (image 3-22)
8. Make sure that all plug holder clamps are locked firmly and attach long cables with cable ties to the frame.
9. Repeat step 2 and followings until all tiles are provide with power.
Note: Maximum 180 SLite tiles per Custom Power Box with 10 outputs.
10.Connect the power box with the local power-net. In case the local power net is not provided with a earthwire an additional earth
connection must be installed and connected with the protected earth inside the power box.
