Before use

Unpack the unit and check whether is not damaged by transport.
The device comes with a disposable drain cock that needs to be unpacked and properly attached
before using it for the first time.
Installing the pouring tap:
Remove all parts of the tap from packaging. Apply a metal cap to the main part of the tap, then a
large sealing rubber. Both parts of the tap must be fitted with a hood and then a rubber seal.
Both prepared parts put through the hole in the body of the pot and screw it into place. Tighten the
thread tightly.
The cock is equipped with an integrated filter strainer, which needs to be clean constantly.
Opening / closing is done by turning the upper lever on one side only by ¼ turn.

Tips for better preserving
The most important tip is thorough preparation and cleanness. Fruit must be fresh and ripe.
Fruit and vegetables must be washed.
Green beans are more durable if slightly cooked first.
Jars for preserving must be washed and cleaned with hot water (overboiled water).
Leave the lids in overboiled water until using them to close the canning jars.
Don´t use broken lids or broken jars.
Fill the jar up to 2 cm under the edge.
When you preserve sausages fill the jar only up to ¾ of its volume.
Jars must be tightly closed.
Always place the jars onto the plastic grid.
Overboiling the entire volume takes around 1,5 hours. It's better to preserve in steam.
Preserving in steam is more economic – fill the pot with just 5-10 cm of water and place the
jars on the grid, close the pot. The preserving in steam wil affect the whole pot.
You can save 60% of energy consumption.
Find the desired temperature for preserving in a cookbook or recipe.
The time for canning starts counting down when the pot has reached its desired temperature.
Store canned ingredients in a dark place.
You can write a description on the jars (e.g. date, ingredients).
