Die Steuerung muss über ein 4/2 oder

5/2-Wegeventil erfolgen (nicht im Liefer-
umfang der Rundschalteinheit enthalten,
kann aber separat bei der Mader GmbH &
Co. KG bestellt werden).
Für diesen Rundschalteinheitentyp sind
ƒ
diverse Zubehörteile verfügbar. Manche
dieser Teile sind, je nach Bestellung, in
Ihre Rundschalteinheit eingebaut oder
wurden mitgeliefert. Nähere Informatio-
nen über diese Zubehörteile entnehmen
Sie bitte dem Kapitel 7.1„Zubehör für die
Rundschalteinheiten RSE-P1-4-... " (S. 43).
4.2 Funktionsweise der RSE-P1-4-...
Im Inneren der Rundschalteinheit befinden
sich zwei Kolbenstangen sowie ein Antriebszy-
linder (Zahnstange).
Die Kolbenstangen haben folgende Aufgabe:
Schaltteller verriegeln/entriegeln.
ƒ
Koppeln/Entkoppeln des Schalttellers mit
ƒ
dem Antriebszylinder (Zahnstange).
Sowohl die Kolbenstangen als auch der An-
triebszylinder werden über die Anschlüsse A
und B mit Druckluft versorgt.
Die Kolbenstangen werden über den An-
schluss A mit Druckluft beaufschlagt. Dies
führt dazu, dass der Schaltteller über ein
Zahnsegment und Zahnrad mit dem An-
triebszylinder (Zahnstange) gekoppelt wird.
Gleichzeitig wird die Zahnstange nun ausge-
fahren und greift hierbei in das Zahnrad ein.
Die lineare Bewegung der Zahnstange wird in
eine rotatorische Bewegung des Zahnrads und
damit des Schalttellers umgesetzt. Sobald die
Zahnstange ihre Endlage erreicht hat, wird der
Anschluss B mit Druckluft beaufschlagt und
Anschluss A entlüftet. Der Schaltteller wird
dabei verriegelt. Gleichzeitig wird die Verbin-
dung zwischen Schaltteller und Antriebszylin-
der (Zahnstange) gelöst.

Various accessories are available for this

type of rotary unit. Some of these parts are,
depending on the order, installed in your
rotary unit or are included in the delive-
ry. Please refer to the „7.1 Accessories"
section for more information about these
accessories (page 43).
4.2 RSE-P1-4-... Functioning
There are two piston rods and a drive cylinder
(toothed rack) inside the rotary unit.
The piston rods have the following job:
Lock/unlock the indexing plate.

Couple/decouple the indexing plate using
ƒ
the drive cylinder (toothed rack).
Both the piston rods as well as the drive cylin-
ders are supplied compressed air via connec-
tions A and B.
The piston rods are applied compressed air
via connection A. This leads to the fact that the
indexing plate is coupled to the drive cylinder
(toothed rack) via a toothed segment and a
toothed gear. The toothed rack is now with-
drawn at the same time whereby it engages
with the toothed gear. The linear movement
of the toothed rack is translated into a rotary
movement of the toothed gear and therefore
of the indexing plate. As soon as the toothed
rack has reached its final position, connection
B is applied compressed air and connection A
is vented. The indexing plate is locked during
this. At the same time, the connection between
the indexing plate and the drive cylinder (too-
thed rack) is undone.
