Automatic setting of Port configuration or Baud rate
When "Automatic" is selected, the Port configuration or the Baud rate of the Modbus RTU
connection is set automatically. For this automatic setting, the Modbus RTU master must
communicate with the 3RW5 communication module.

baud rate
The automatic setting of port configuration and baud rate requires continuous cyclic
communication from the Modbus RTU master so that the 3RW5 communication module can
recognize the correct port configuration and baud rate. This operation can take from several
milliseconds to approx. 10 seconds. The request telegrams can refer to read or write access.
While the port configuration and baud rate have not yet been set automatically, the
3RW5 communication module ignores the request telegram.
Tip: Cyclically send a request telegram to write register address range 0x7000 - 0x7099
(undefined address range) with changing data. As soon as you obtain an Exception Code as
the response telegram, the port configuration and the baud rate have been set automatically.

Automatic setting of port configuration and baud rate
The automatically set values are not stored in the 3RW5 communication module and are
cleared after a restart. If necessary, you can read out automatically set values on the
3RW5 HMI High Feature or with SIRIUS Soft Starter ES (TIA Portal) via the local interface
and then set them manually.
