4.4 Tightening Bolts and Lug Nuts
ALWAYS read the Important Safety Information (Section 1) BEFORE
using the Torque Multiplier.
CRUSH HAZARD. The reaction arm can create a crush hazard
against the anchor point and can slip or break during use causing
SERIOUS INJURY
and hands, take the safety precautions listed in Section 1.
OVERLOAD HAZARD. The Torque Multiplier or its reaction arm can
overload during use and break causing SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
NEVER exceed the specified maximum input torque.
NEVER use electric, pneumatic or battery-operated Torque
Multipliers or impact wrenches.
To manually tighten bolts and lug nuts:
1. Determine the input torque required to obtain the desired output torque
(see section 4.3).
2. Set the input torque setting on the torque wrench (follow Operating
Instructions for the torque wrench).
