NEVER place the reaction arm with just one corner touching the
support bolt or too close to the gear box. The reaction arm could
break or slip under load, causing SERIOUS INJURY and DAMAGE.
   
 
 
 

4.3 Setting the Torque

 
NEVER exceed the maximum specified input torque. If the Torque
Multiplier is overloaded, tool fracture can occur, causing SERIOUS
INJURY and DAMAGE.
Definitions:
Input torque:
The torque required to obtain the
output torque; the torque setting
on the torque wrench.
Output torque:
The desired torque that the bolt
or nut must be tightened to.
Ratio:
The correlation between input
and output torque. The torque
wrench rotates more frequently
than the impact socket.
