Surfacing
1. Turn the stock
removal
justment
(5) to set the
height
of
feed table (6).
The set cutting
depth can be
read from the
scale.
2. Loosen
parallel stop (2)
with the clamp lever (13). Set the required angle. The set
angle can be read from the scale (12). Secure the parallel
stop with the clamp lever (13) again.
3. Adjust the bridge guard (7) in such a way that only that part of
the knife block which is needed for machining the workpiece,
is uncovered.
4. Switch on the machine, place the workpiece you wish to
machine on the feed table and hold the slide blocks (4) with
both hands and slide the workpiece forwards towards the
planing table (1).
Do some practice cuts before using the machine for the first
time. This will give you a chance to get used to the machine
and become used to the stock removal scale and the parallel
stop tilt scale.
Disconnect the machine from power mains after work.
