    4. Setup Please follow the steps described below to set up this product. Do not handle this product during an electrical storm. When installing this product in the computer, please read the user's manual of the computer and unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet. Do not insert or remove the power plug with wet hands.

    4-1. Selection and Installation of Bracket A low-profile bracket is installed on this product. When fixing this product to a PCI slot optimized for the standard profile type, replace the bracket with the attached standard one. The procedure is as follows.
  • Page 46 Install the standard PCI bracket to this product and tighten the two screws. WWPN(World Wide Port Name) is displayed on PCI bracket with label. When replacing the bracket, be sure the label printed WWPN address on bracket is equal to one on FC board. Replace the SFP+ module removed in item1.

Install the Card Install this product in the computer following the steps described on the next step Check the power to the computer is off (System POWER LED off), and then unplug the power code from the electrical outlet. If the power to the computer is on (System POWER LED on), shut down the operating system and then turn off the computer.

The method of installing and removing the PCI card and the location of the PCI slot differ in each computer. Refer to the maintenance guide attached with the computer to confirm procedure.

    Appendix. Check the WWPN This appendix describes procedure to check the WWPN(Worldwide port name) of this product installed into the computer. UEFI Boot If the Boot Mode setting of the computer is “UEFI”, follow the instructions below to check the WWPN. After checking this product is properly installed into the computer, turn on the computer.
  • Page 53 Select [Advanced] tab – [PCI Configuration] – [PCI Device Controller and Option ROM Settings] in BIOS Setup utility. Set [PCI# Slot Option ROM] to [Enabled]. [PCI#] is PCI slot number where Fibre Channel board is installed Select “Save Changes and Exit” in the “Save & Exit” tab to save changes and reboot the computer. After reboot the computer, start up the BIOS SETUP utility again.

(Primary LED on CPU/IO module is turned on) After waiting for at least 30 seconds, connect the power cord again. After waiting for at least 30 seconds, press a power switch and the computer starts up. Follow the step 2 to 10, and check WWPN.

    Legacy Boot If the Boot Mode setting of the computer is “Legacy”, follow the instructions below to check WWPN. After checking this product is properly installed into the computer, turn on the computer. Press <F2> key while the following message is displayed. BIOS Setup utility (SETUP) will start after POST.
