4.1 Precautions for Maintenance
Completely discharge the internal pressure of the product, piping, and equipment before maintenance
or inspection. If the fluid is hot, cool down the product to a level where you can touch it with bare hands.
* Failure to follow this notice may result in scalds, burn or injury.
1. Do not disassemble the product unless necessary.
2. Avoid rapid change of temperature and pressure to the product
3. Make sure that the piping is out of operation before dismounting the product from the piping.
5.2 Periodic inspections
Conduct periodic inspections once per month in order to maintain the optimal performance of the product.
Inspection Item:
Valve open/close operation is proper.
Abnormal noise is not be detected.
Outside leakage is not be detected.
In case of any failure, give a proper remedy referring to "6. Troubleshooting."

Cause
1.
Open the product.
2.
Remove dust caps on the flanges.

Fully open the product.
2.
Clean the piping.
1. Grease the spindle.
2. Slightly loosen the gland with keeping gland
tightness enough.
1.
Tighten the gland until tightness is reached.
Replace the product as soon as possible.
1.
Tighten the handwheel by hand without
using a tool.
2.
Replace the product with a new one.
3.
Clean the product. Install a strainer at the
inlet side of the product.
