    CYLINDER MOUNTING SINGLE CYLINDER Check that the cylinder strap buckle is positioned with the buckle as close to the backplate as possible. Place the cylinder on the backplate. [Fig. 1] Check the connection O-ring and screw the cylinder valve hand tight to the cylinder connection of the manifold block.

    CYLINDER PACK Mounting Place the cylinder pack on a flat surface with the cylinder valve towards you. Check the connection O-ring and screw the cylinder valve hand-tight to the cylinder connection of the manifold block. [Fig. 7] NOTE! FOR CYLINDER QUICK COUPLING SEE SECTION CYLINDER QUICK COUPLING OPTION. Fit the holes of the cylinder bracket onto the guide washers and push the backplate away from you until the harness clicks in position [Fig.

    ADJUSTING SIZE NOTE! WHEN STANDING STRAIGHT WITH THE BREATHING APPARATUS DONNED THE MAJORITY OF THE WEIGHT SHALL BE CARRIED ON THE HIPS AND NOT THE SHOULDERS. To adjust the height of the hip belt, push the red buttons under the hip belt together and slide the complete hip belt up or down to the correct size.

IF THE CYLINDER PRESSURE IS BELOW THE MINIMUM LEVEL ACCORDING TO THE SETTINGS THERE IS A WARNING INDICATION. THE TEST CAN BE CANCELED AT ANY TIME BY PRESSING THE RED BUTTON. THE TEST WILL IN THIS CASE SWITCH TO SHORT TEST.

  • Page 18 The remaining time information must only be used as a complement to the cylinder pressure information. Low air warnings must always be heeded, regardless of the remaining time indication. Until the first value is calculated from the air consumption, the display shows “CALC ...”.
  • Page 19 The HUD can be configured with a different light sequence. If the pressure changes quickly, there may be a delay of 2 seconds until the cylinder pressure information is updated in the HUD. During normal use (breathing) this is not noticeable.

  • Page 20: Cylinder Pressure Warning

    When removing the Tally key the red light goes out and the yellow continues. The Within approximately 20 seconds the HUD and BAC will link. The BAC beeps, the Digital display reads “HUD CONNECTED” and all six LEDs in the HUD flash two times. WARNING! IF NOT ALL LEDS ON THE HUD ARE LIT IT MUST BE IMMEDIATELY BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE.

  • Page 21: Automatic Distress Signal Unit(Adsu)- (Optional)

    TURN-BACK SIGNAL (OPTIONAL) It can be set as a static value between 75 and 175 bar or as a dynamic value based on the initial cylinder pressure. At this level the display backlight turns red and is automatically lit for 10 seconds. If the cylinder pressure increases above the set level, the turn-back signal is re-set.

    NOTE: HAVING THE CYLINDER VALVE OPEN PREVENTS WATER FROM ENTERING THE SYSTEM AND BUBBLES WILL INDICATE ANY LEAKS IN THE SYSTEM. Spray on or submerge the breathing apparatus in water and cleaning solvent. Use cleaning solvent recommended by Interspiro, max 55°C. Clean the apparatus with a sponge or brush.

    Decrease the cylinder pressure slowly and check that the whistle starts sounding at 55 ±5 bar. Service and testing must as a minimum be carried out according to Interspiro’s Service and Testing Schedule, or according to local requirements. Visit www.interspiro.com for latest version.

    REPLACING BAC BATTERY ATTENTION! BATTERIES MUST ONLY BE CHANGED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS. ATTENTION! DOWNLOAD THE USER LOG PRIOR TO REPLACING THE BATTERIES. AFTER REPLACING BATTERIES, CHECK THE DATE AND TIME SETTING OF THE UNIT AND RE-SET IF NECESSARY. IF THE CURRENT IS BROKEN FOR MORE THAN 1.5 MINUTES, DATE AND CLOCK SETTINGS IN THE BAC WILL BE LOST AND EVENTS WILL NOT BE LOGGED CORRECTLY.

    EXTRA AIR CONNECTION Some models are equipped with an extra air connection which can be used to: Connect to a chemical suit ventilation system Connect a rescue hose between two apparatuses Connect an extra mask Connect the resuscitation mask Revitox Feed the apparatus from an external air source When taking air from the apparatus, point 1-4 above, the air consumption increases and the duration of the apparatus decreases.

    MONTAGEM DO CILINDRO UM CILINDRO Verifique se a tira do cilindro está colocada com a fivela tão próxima quanto possível do suporte traseiro. Coloque o cilindro no suporte traseiro. [Fig. 1] Verifique a junta tórica de ligação e aparafuse manualmente a válvula do cilindro ao manifold.

    Se estiver ativada, o ecrã mostra a definição de aviso eletrónico de pressão baixa, enquanto é testado o som do apito eletrónico . APITO 55 BAR Substitua a chave no DDU, se aplicável INSERIR CHAVE O ecrã apresenta os resultados do teste até se carregar no botão de retroiluminação.
  • Page 37 Durante a utilização, o ecrã digital pode mostrar três valores diferentes: Pressão do cilindro em Bar ou PSI Tempo restante calculado em minutos Temperatura absorvida em graus Celsius ou Fahrenheit Gráfico da pressão do cilindro em quadrantes Dependendo da configuração, o ecrã pode mostrar um, dois, três ou todos estes quatro valores.

    DE FUGAS NO SISTEMA. Pulverize ou mergulhe o aparelho respiratório em água e solvente de limpeza. Utilize o solvente de limpeza recomendado pela Interspiro, máx. 55 °C. Limpe o aparelho com uma esponja ou escova. Enxagúe o aparelho em água limpa, máx. 60 °C.

    Quando as baterias estiverem instaladas, o HUD faz piscar os seis LED cinco vezes. BATERIAS Utilize sempre baterias alcalinas AAA Duracell MN2400 e Energizer E92. A Interspiro não assume qualquer responsabilidade por falhas mecânicas, elétricas ou de qualquer outro tipo relacionadas com baterias.

    SUBSTITUIR AS BATERIAS DO HUD SEM FIOS Retire o HUD da máscara. Consulte a secção 3. Com uma chave Phillips, desaperte o parafuso da tampa do compartimento de baterias.     UTILIZAÇÃO COM SISTEMA DE AR As instruções na Secção 1, Secção 2 - “Montagem do cilindro - um cilindro” e nas Secções 3 a 6 aplicam-se à utilização com o sistema de ar. O tubo de fornecimento de ar está ligado ao acoplamento macho no manifold situado do lado direito (quando usado) do cinto.
