THE CONVENTIONAL OVEN

USES OF THE CONVENTIONAL
OVEN
This form of cooking gives you the opportunity
to cook without the fan in operation. It is
particularly suitable for dishes which require
extra base browning such as pizzas, quiches
and flans. Gratin's, lasagne and hotpots which
require extra top browning also cook well in the
conventional oven. You can only cook on one
shelf when using the conventional oven setting.
HOW TO USE THE
CONVENTIONAL OVEN
1. Turn the Selector to Conventional Oven.
2. Turn the oven temperature control to the
required setting.

THINGS TO NOTE

The main oven indicator neon will glow until
the
oven
has
temperature and then go out. It will turn on
and off showing that the oven temperature is
being maintained.
The
Selector
indicator
throughout cooking.
The internal oven light operates when the
Selector is set. If an automatic cooking
programme is set, the oven light will come on
when the cook time begins.
The cooling fan for the controls will operate
when the Selector is turned. It may run on
after the controls are switched off until the
cooker has cooled. See page 7 for more
details on the operation of the cooling fan.
Do not place dishes, tin or baking trays
directly on the oven base as it becomes
very hot and damage will occur.
