. If Transfer Manager is stopped, the status shows "Stopped". In this case, you can start Transfer Manag-
er by clicking the Start button.
After clicking the Start button, and startup completes, the status changes to "Started" and the button
changes to "Stop".
. When Transfer Manager is running, the Status shows "Started" and the Stop button is displayed. (Refer
to Figure 10.)
By clicking the Stop button, and the stop process is completed, the status changes to "Stopped" and the
Start button is displayed.
Operation from the console
You can use the console to start/stop Transfer Manager instead of using the browser.
Procedure for starting/stopping Transfer Manager is as follows:
To log in from the console, log in as a root user.
[Startup]
[root@localhost root] /sbin/service \ netif \ start
[Stop]
[root@localhost root] /sbin/service \ netif \ stop
[Forced stop]
[root@localhost root] /usr/local/netif/bin/netif.sh \ stop
To stop or restart the operating system, you must also log in as a root user.
If you stop or restart the operating system, data transmission is interrupted and stop or restart operation of
the operating system is executed, even if Transfer Manager is running and the data are being transmitted.
[Stop]
[root@localhost root] /sbin/shutdown \ -h \ now
[Restart]
[root@localhost root] /sbin/reboot
n
The OS can also be restarted or stopped simply by logging in as the "shutdown" or "reboot" user (no
password required), as well as logging in as the root user and executing the shutdown or reboot command
as described above.
