Procedure for installation
(1) If you insert the install CD-ROM after turning on the power, the PC starts up from the CD-ROM
instead of the local hard disk to run the Installer. A screen appears as shown in Figure 1.
If the Enter key is pressed or 10 seconds has passed without inputting anything while this screen is
displayed, the screen changes and the Kernel for the Installer on the CD-ROM is loaded. When the kernel
has been loaded, you are prompted to enter the values for the items 1 to 6 described below. Enter the
setting values. Press the Enter key if you use the default values or if you do not set anything.
1 Setting the Transfer Manager Number
The Local Ethernet settings are automatically set by setting this number. Normally, set this number to
1.
(Set this number to 2 only when setting the second Transfer Manager, where two Transfer Managers
are used.)
Example:
Type your Transfer Manager Number (CurrentSetting : 1) Input 1 or 2
1
2 Setting the IP address for the Global Ethernet
Set the IP address for sending/receiving MXF files or for accessing Transfer Manager from external
devices to control it.
Example:
Type your Global IP Address (CurrentSetting : 192.168.1.10)
192.168.1.12
3 Setting the Global Ethernet NetMask
Set the NetMask for the Global Ethernet. The default value is typically used without any problem.
Example:
Type your Global NetMask (currentSetting : 255.255.255.0)
