3. Appliance description

This open vented (non-pressurised) appliance constantly
maintains the water content at the pre-selected temper-
ature. As water is drawn from the appliance, cold water
flows in at the same rate. The appliance is equipped with
a temperature controller which maintains the set water
temperature.
During heating, expansion water drips from the tap. This
natural process cannot be stopped by turning off the tap
excessively tightly.
The appliance is equipped with a high limit safety cut-
out which isolates it from the power supply if excessive
temperatures occur.
The appliance may only be installed with taps for open
vented (non-pressurised) water heaters (see chapter "In-
stallation / Appliance description / Accessories").
Subject to season, varying cold water temperatures can
result in different maximum amounts of mixed outlet water.

High water temperatures can result in the appliance
scaling up more quickly and higher energy con-
sumption
» Only select the maximum temperature setting
for brief periods as required.

!
To prevent the appliance running dry, especially
after prolonged periods out of use, replace the water
regularly by opening the tap to the "hot" position.

4. Cleaning, care and
maintenance
» Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. A
damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning the appliance.
» Check the tap regularly. You can remove limescale
deposits at the tap outlet using commercially availa-
ble descaling agents.
Almost every type of water will deposit limescale at high
temperatures. This settles inside the appliance and af-
fects both the performance and service life.
