- Page 2 General This instruction manual explains the method of assembling the 3M Shielded Compact Ribbon (SCR) ™ Wiremount Plug and Shell Kit. Full details of wiring pin-outs vary by application and are not covered in this document. Components The components of the SCR Wiremount Plug and Shell Kit are listed below (reference Figure A).

Stranded wires may be tinned to prevent unraveling. Remove any loose strands that may cause electrical shorts. Make sure that the connector body (1) is fully seated against the retreat stop (2) of the metal shell base. Make sure that the metal tabs (3) of the connector body lie inside the metal shell base (4).
- Page 6 This product will be free from defects in material and manufacture for a period of three (3) years from the date of manufacture. If this product is defective within the warranty period stated above, your exclusive remedy shall be, at 3M’s option, to replace or repair the 3M product or refund the purchase price of the defective product.
