DJUSTING THE BALANCING SPRING
The barrier is supplied with its balancing springs already adjusted.
If extra weights are added to the barrier boom (e.g. pneumatic or photocell-
type safety strips), you need to balance the boom again. If the boom tends
to drop quickly when it moves down, modify the balancing springs.
To do so, raise the boom by hand or by means of the electric devices until it
reaches its vertical position. Then use a setscrew wrench n° 24.
You just need to release the check nuts and screw the nuts under the
springs clockwise, so as to Increase the lifting power of the boom.
If the boom tends to stop during its upward movement, adjust the external
clutch of the operating device using a ring nut wrench n. 30-32 (check the
movement of the boom before tightening the springs).
