M uting the sound temporarily
1 . Sw itching the pow er ON (OFF)
The pow er can also be turned ON by pressing the play key of the CD player, the
play key of the cassette deck or the BAND key of the tuner.
When the ON/ STANDBY key is pressed w hile the pow er is ON, the pow er w ill be
sw itched OFF.

Listening through headphones
Insert the headphone plug into
the PHONES jack.
÷ The sounds from all speakers are
cut off.
÷ The display part becomes dark w hen the pow er
is sw itched OFF. (DIM M ER function)
÷ When you select the AUX input, be also sure to
read the instruction manual of the component
connected to the AUX input jacks.
(AUX INPUT LEVEL adjustment
÷ When CD or TAPE is selected, playback w ill
start w hen a disc or a tape already has been
inserted into deck B.
÷ Quick turning produces a larger change amount.
