5. Remove the muffler. Refer to
the muffler on page 17 .
6. Remove the air filter and carburetor. Refer to
remove and install the carburetor on page 18 .
7. Remove the heat insulator. Refer to
install the heat insulator on page 23 .
8. Remove the clutch housing. Refer to
disassemble and assemble the clutch drum and the
clutch housing on page 23 .
9. Remove the flywheel. Refer to
flywheel on page 25 .
10. Disassemble the cylinder and the piston. Refer to
disassemble and assemble the cylinder and piston
on page 28 .
11. Remove the 3 screws (A).
12. Remove the front crankcase half (B), the crankcase
gasket (C), and the crankshaft assembly (D) from
the rear crankcase half (E).

13. Apply heat to the crankcase halves until they are
approximately 110 °C. Tap the crankcase halves
against a wooden block to remove the crankshaft
bearings.
WARNING: Use protective gloves.
14. Remove the oil seals with a mandrel.
15. Clean and examine the crankshaft and the
crankcase halves. Refer to
the crankshaft and crankcase on page 32 .
