3. Remove the 2 screws and the 2 brackets.
4. Remove the connecting rod (A), the needle bearing
(B) and the gear wheel (C).

5. Remove the blades (D).
6. Remove the connecting rod (E), the needle bearing
(F) and the thrust plate (G).

7. Remove the snap ring.
8. Apply heat to the gearbox until it is approximately
110°C.
WARNING: Use protective gloves.
9. Tap the gearbox against a wooden block to remove
the pinion gear.
10. Install in the opposite sequence.
CAUTION: Install the connection rods with
A
the text in the direction of the gear wheel.
CAUTION: Replaced or cleaned parts must
be lubricated on all sides. Use Husqvarna
bevel gear grease. Refer to
on page 11 and Servicing data on page 7 .

6.18 Cutting unit

6.18.1 To remove and install the blades
• Remove and install the blades as shown in
disassemble and assemble the gearbox on page 38 .
6.18.2 To disassemble and assemble the blades
• Disassemble and assemble the blades as shown in
Servicing data on page 7 .
6.18.3 To clean and examine the cutting equipment
1. Clean all parts.
2. Examine the cutting equipment parts for cracks.
3. Examine the sharpness of the blades.
