3. Auswahl der Überblendgeschwindigkeit

In dieser Betriebsart werden die Farben auto-
matisch durch Überblenden gewechselt. Lau-

fende Musik hat hierauf keinen Einfluss. Mit
der Taste FUNCTION kann durch wiederhol-
tes Drücken zwischen drei verschiedenen
Überblendgeschwindigkeiten gewählt werden.
7 Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät
Zur Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät mit DMX -
512-Protokoll (z. B. DMX-1440 oder DMX-510USB
von „img Stage Line") verfügt das Gerät über 15
Steuerkanäle. Es kann aber auch in den 8-Kanal-
Modus umgeschaltet werden, wenn nicht alle Funk-
tionen benötigt werden. Die Funktionen der Kanäle
und die DMX-Werte finden Sie im Kapitel 10.1.
7.1 Anschluss
Als DMX-Schnittstelle besitzt das Gerät 3-polige
XLR-Anschlüsse (10 und 11) mit folgender Kontakt-
belegung: Pin 1 = Masse, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+.
Zum Anschluss sollten spezielle Kabel für hohen
Datenfluss verwendet werden. Normale abge-
schirmte Mikrofonkabel mit einem Leitungsquer-
schnitt von mindestens 2 × 0,22 mm
geringer Kapazität sind nur bei einer Gesamtkabel-
länge bis 100 m zu empfehlen. Bei Leitungslängen
ab 150 m wird das Zwischen schalten eines DMX-
Aufholverstärkers empfohlen (z. B. SR-103DMX von
„img Stage Line").
1) Den DMX-Eingang (10) mit dem DMX-Ausgang
des Lichtsteuergerätes verbinden.
2) Den DMX-Ausgang (11) mit dem DMX-Eingang
des nächsten Lichteffektgerätes verbinden. Des-
sen Ausgang wieder mit dem Eingang des nach-
folgenden Gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle Licht-
effektgeräte in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
3. Selection of the transition speed

In this operating mode, the colours will change
automatically by transition from one colour to
another. Any music played at this stage will
not affect this mode. A selection of three tran-
sition speeds is available when the button
FUNCTION is pressed repeatedly.
7 Operation via a light controller
For operation via a light controller with DMX-512 pro-
tocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB by "img Stage
Line"), the unit is equipped with 15 control channels.
However, it can also be switched to the 8-channel
mode if not all functions are required. The functions
of the channels and the DMX values can be found in
chapter 10.1.
7.1 Connection
As a DMX interface the unit is equipped with 3-pole
XLR connections (10 and 11) with the following pin
configuration: pin 1 = ground, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+.
For connection, special cables for high data flow
should be used. The use of standard microphone
cables with a screening and a minimum cable cross
section of 2 × 0,22 mm

and a capacity as low as
possible can only be recommended for a total cable
length of up to 100 m. For cable lengths exceeding
150 m it is recommended to insert a DMX level
matching amplifier (e. g. SR-103DMX from "img
Stage Line").
1) Connect the DMX input (10) to the DMX output of
the light controller.
2) Connect the DMX output (11) to the DMX input of
the following light effect unit. Connect its output

7.2 Startadresse und
Anzahl der DMX-Kanäle einstellen
Um das Lichteffektgerät mit einem Lichtsteuergerät
bedienen zu können, muss die DMX-Startadres se
für den ersten DMX-Kanal eingestellt werden. Ist
z. B. am Steuergerät die Adresse 17 für die Steue-
rung der Schwenkkopfdrehung vorge sehen, am
WASH-36LED die Startadresse 17 einstellen.
Die anderen Funktionen des Geräts sind dann
automatisch den 14 folgenden Kanälen (in diesem
Beispiel 18 – 31) zugeordnet. Als nächstmögliche
Startadresse für das folgende DMX-gesteuerte
Gerät könnte dann bei diesem Beispiel die Adresse
32 verwendet werden. (Im 8-Kanal-Modus werden
nur 8 DMX-Kanäle belegt. Somit ergibt sich als
nächstmögliche Startadresse für das folgende DMX-
gesteuerte Gerät die Adresse 25.)
1) Die DMX-Startadresse einstellen:
a) Die Taste MENU (2) einmal dru ̈ cken, sodass

7.2 Adjusting the start address and
the number of DMX channels
For operating the light effect unit with a light control-
ler, adjust the DMX start address for the first DMX
channel. If e. g. on the controller the address 17 is pro-
vided for controlling the pan motion of the pan head,
adjust the start address 17 on the WASH-36LED.
Then the other functions of the unit are automati-
cally assigned to the following 14 channels (in this
example 18 to 31). As the next possible start address
for the following DMX-controlled unit, the address 32
could be used for this example. (In the 8-channel
mode only 8 DMX channels are reserved. Thus, as
the next possible start address for the following DMX-
controlled unit the address 25 will result.)
1) Adjusting the DMX start address:
a) Press the button MENU (2) once so that the
display (1) will show

address will be displayed.
c) With the button DOWN or UP (3), adjust the ad -
dress and memorize it with the button ENTER.

empfangen werden, leuchtet die rote LED DMX
(5) und das Display zeigt die Startadresse an.
Der WASH-36LED kann nun mit dem DMX-Steu-
ergerät bedient werden.
Damit ein Lichtstrahl erscheint, den Dimmer
über den DMX-Kanal 7 (im 8-Kanal-Modus) bzw.
Kanal 9 (im 15-Kanal-Modus) auf hell stellen und
über die DMX-Kanäle für den Rot-, Grün- und
Blauanteil eine Farbe einstellen (
a) Press the button MENU so many times until

3) To exit the menu, keep the button MENU pressed

4) As soon as control signals from the DMX control-
ler are received, the red LED DMX (5) lights up
and the display shows the start address. The
WASH-36LED can now be operated with the
DMX controller.
For a light beam to appear, set the dimmer via
the DMX channel 7 (in the 8-channel mode) or
channel 9 (in the 15-channel mode) to bright and
adjust a colour for the proportions of red, green,
and blue via the DMX channels (
