    INSTALLATION 2.6 Water connection The installer is responsible for the selection and dimensioning and must carry out the work in accordance with current law and practice. To connect: • connect the pipes • check for leaks • protect the connections with insulation when the unit is used for cooling Avoid incomplete pipe insulation.

    INSTALLATION 2.7 Condensation line • The condensation line must be of an appropriate size (inner pipe diameter at least 16 mm) and the pipes must be positioned in such a way that an inclined angle is achieved along the entire length, never less than 1 %. In vertical installations, connect the drainage pipe directly into the drip pan, located underneath the water connections.

    INSTALLATION Ensure that the drain pipe that runs through the outer wall has a sufficient fall to prevent stoppages and thus cause damp problems, see fig. If power is not connected, use the blind cover for the valve so that it is in the open position.

    INSTRUCTIONS 3 Using the remote control 3.1 Warnings No objects (furniture, curtains, plants, leaves, blinds, etc.) may impede the normal flow of air from either the intake or exhaust. The mobile air director must never be changed manually, instead use the remote control or the integrated control panel.

  • Page 17 INSTRUCTIONS Symbol Function The buttons on the remote control and the panel affect the same function. When the unit is on, the set setpoint value on the three digits on the display. The setpoint value can be set between 16 and 31°C. The setpoint must not be set too high or low, as this means unnecessary energy consumption and can cause comfort problems.

    It is important that the user can distinguish between a malfunction and something that is considered to be part of the unit's normal operation. The most common errors can be easily resolved by the user (see Troubleshooting), while other alarms require Frico technical support or similar to be contacted.

    INSTRUCTIONS 4 Regular maintenance 4.1 Maintenance Regular maintenance is necessary to maintain the efficiency, safety and reliability of the fan convector over time. Some maintenance should be carried out twice a year, and other maintenance annually, by authorised personnel who can also replace parts if necessary. 4.2 External cleaning Before cleaning and maintenance work, disconnect the unit from the power supply by turning off the main switch.
