Always take the following safety measures when performing this work:
Wear the general protective equipment.
Turn the service switch to ON and secure the service switch against unauthor-
ized switching (with a padlock).
Additionally press the EMERGENCY STOP switch.
Do not enter the danger area around the retractor until it is at standstill and the
warning lamps and buzzer are off and the flap valve is closed.
Do not perform the work until the gas sampling system has cooled down.

Control cabinet key to open the control cabinet
The following conditions must be met:
The service switch is in the ON position, the gas sampling probe is retracted
from the kiln (see Operating the service switch on page 159).
The EMERGENCY STOP switch is pressed.
Perform the following steps to replace the structural diaphragm of the pre-suction
pump -M71:

Open the control cabinet.

Power off pump at the circuit breaker -F34.

Clean outside of pump housing.

Unscrew the four screws to open the pump housing.

Detach the pump tubes, remove the pump -M71 and clean it exter-

nally.
