d. To verify changes made to the configuration module, cycle power to the SKY899. At terminal
device enter the Service Menu (type Menu <Enter>). Then enter Setup menu (1 <Enter>), then
enter Avionics Equipment menu (5 <Enter>) and verify all equipment shown selected is correct.
e. If any corrections need to be made repeat step 9, otherwise select Back (x<Enter>) to return to
Service Menu.
F.3.2 Calibration
1. From the Service Menu select Calibration (3 <Enter>).
1. Ensure transponder is in standby while doing calibration.
2. If the TRC has never been calibrated, the current calibration value
will be displayed as Invalid.
3. Some alternate displays show "TCAS OFF" instead of standby, this
does not mean that SKY899 is turned off.
Choice: RF BITE Calibration Started.
RF BITE Calibration Passed (old 163.93798828, new 163.65234375).
RF BITE Calibration Passed (old 999.00000000, new 999.00000000).
2. Calibrate antenna to system by selecting the correct antenna location (1 <Enter> for Top, 2 <Enter>
for Bottom mount antenna.
3. Once system calibration is complete, cycle power to the SKY899 and verify the standby screen appears
after approximately 30 seconds. At the display press STB/OPR button (changes Standby or Operational
mode). Button can be located on display or on instrument panel. Verify system comes out of standby.
