The figures below show the operat-
ing envelopes for SM / SY compres-
sors with refrigerant R-22 and for SZ
compressors with refrigerants R-407C,
R-134a, R-404A and R-507A. Operat-
ing limits define the envelope within
which reliable compressor operation
is guaranteed.
Because discharge temperature de-
pends on the combination of evapo-
rating temperature, condensing tem-
perature and suction gas superheat,
discharge temperature limits are
indicated by a double line. The solid
line represents the limit when the su-
perheat is 20
