Replacing the toner cartridge
Procedure
Problem solving
There are two toner cartridges, black (upper) and red (lower). The
same procedure applies to each cartridge.
Note: Do not remove the toner cartridge unless a message on the
printer control panel is displayed.
1. Open the printer front door.
2. Rotate the toner cartridge counterclockwise until it
stops.
The toner cartridge may be difficult to turn.
The toner cartridge lid is closed automatically
when the cartridge is unlocked.
3. Remove the toner cartridge slowly.
Carefully remove the toner cartridge to keep loose
toner from spilling.
4. Shake the new toner cartridge.
5. Place the new toner cartridge into the holder; align
the symbols shown.
