If you need to return the HP 70341A for repair
The following procedure describes how to prepare the module for shipment:
Instrument damage can result from using packaging materials other than

the original shipping materials or equivalent. Never use styrene pellets as
packaging materials. They do not adequately cushion the instrument or
prevent it from shifting in the carton. They cause instrument damage by
generating static electricity.
1. Fill out a blue repair card (located at the end of this manual) and attach it
to the instrument. If a blue repair card is not available, send the following
information with the returned instrument:
1. Type of service required.
2. Description of the problem; state if the problem is constant or
3. Name and phone number of technical contact person.
4. Return address.
5. Model number of returned instrument.
6. Full serial number of returned instrument.
7. List of any accessories returned with instrument.
2. Send copies of any error messages and performance data recorded for the
instrument.
Error messages are read from the MMS error queue. Performance data
comes from the incoming inspection tests or performance tests in the HP
70340A/41A Calibration Guide.
