Ethernet network

Kaba wireless gateway 90 40
Function call: Settings > Ethernet network
UPnP
In its factory state, Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is activated for easy localisation in
the Ethernet network [} 6.1].
Deactivate UPnP by turning the UPnP switch to Off.
Assigning a fixed IP address
In its factory state, DHCP is activated.
1. Deactivate DHCP by turning the DHCP switch to Off.
2. Enter the desired address in the IP address field.
3. Under Subnet mask, select a network mask.
4. Under Standard gateway you have the option to enter the IP address of the Eth-
ernet gateway, which enables communication with the host system if the devices
are not located in the same network segment.
5. Under DNS address, you have the option of entering the IP address of a DNS
server.
6. Select Save.
Get the IP address from the DHCP server
1. Activate DHCP by turning the DHCP switch to On.
2. Select Save.
Default IP address 172.16.99.98
To guarantee the accessibility of the wireless gateway, the device reverts to its de-
fault IP address if there is no DHCP server in the network or if the DHCP server does
not respond.
The device signals [} 4.2.1] the activation of the default IP address.
