The wireless gateway acts as an interface between the host system and evolo com-
ponents equipped with the wireless option. The wireless gateway does not manage
access control itself. It receives the relevant configuration for the connected wireless
components from the host system and transfers this information to the wireless com-
ponents.
Data exchange with the host system takes place via Ethernet, whilst data exchange
with the wireless components takes place via radio.
Service functions such as network settings, firmware updates and certain wireless
commissioning functions can be performed via the inbuilt service interface.
