Alternatively, the wireless gateway can write its IP address onto a USB stick in a text
file.
ü The network is equipped with an accessible DHCP server.
ü The USB stick is formatted in FAT32 format.
1. Insert the USB stick into the USB interface on the wireless gateway.
2. Connect the wireless gateway to the network and switch on.
3. After approx. 4 minutes, remove the USB stick if the Power LED signals that the
boot process is complete [} 4.2.1].
ð The text file 'network_<MAC-address>.conf' containing the IP address in Class-
less Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) format will be located in the USB stick's root dir-
ectory:

It is best to address the wireless gateway via a DHCP server. When doing so, ensure
that the device always receives the same IP address (dynamic assignment: endless
lease or manual assignment: linked to the MAC address) so that communication with
the host system is maintained.
Default IP address 172.16.99.98
If no DHCP server is available in the network or the DHCP server does not reply, the
device will assign itself the default IP address [} 6.2.9].
Changing the network settings
The second step is optional, and involves the allocation of a fixed IP address to the
wireless gateway:
1. Enter the following into a browser's address field: https://<IP address>
2. Log in to the device with the following details: User: admin / Password: admin
3. Carry out changes [} 6.2.9].
This completes the process of commissioning the wireless gateway itself. Additional
steps required, such as the wireless commissioning of wireless components, are car-
ried out via the host system.
Some changes can also be made via the wireless gateway's service interface [} 6.2].
