Wireless commissioning

6.2.5.1 Carrying out wireless commissioning
Kaba wireless gateway 90 40
Wireless commissioning means connecting devices with the wireless gateway's se-
cured radio network. Wireless devices, like wireless components and wireless ex-
tenders, must be commissioned in this way in order to guarantee the secure ex-
change of data between wireless components and the wireless gateway as an inter-
face to the host system.
For this to happen, the installation code generated by the host system is required by
the wireless gateway and wireless components. Wireless commissioning is not pos-
sible without the host system.
Wireless commissioning process
Carry out wireless commissioning in the following sequence:
1 Wireless extenders (if present)
2 Wireless components
Function call: Menu > Wireless commissioning
ü The installation code [} 6.2.10] is transferred to the wireless gateway.
ü The installation code is transferred to the wireless components.
This is not required for wireless extenders.
ü Accessibility via radio [} 5.1.2.1] is ensured.
ü Wireless commissioning of the wireless extenders (if present) or the wireless
components is activated.
1. Wireless extenders: select with HA security,
or
wireless components: select with installation code.
2. Optionally adjust the timeout (minutes), the time within which the wireless
gateway remains open for connections.
3. Activate wireless commissioning.
ð The device looks for wireless extenders or wireless components.
4. Wait until the wireless extenders or wireless components are displayed under
Available devices, i.e. are connected.
5. Deactivate wireless commissioning.
