Model ES-9047
TAPERED CYLINDER AND PLATE

Introduction

The PASCO Model ES-9047 Tapered Cylinder and
Plate contains an interesting shape for charge distribu-
tion demonstrations. The tapered conductive cylinder
measures 13 cm high, 6 cm in diameter at the base and
10 cm in diameter at the top. It is attached to a 25 cm
diameter plate by a plastic insulator. Terminals are
provided for electrical connection to both surfaces, the
cylinder and the plate.

• 6-32 Nylon Machine Screw
• 6-32 Hex Nut

• Charge Producers and Proof Plane ES-9057

Assembly Procedure

To assemble your Tapered Cylinder and Plate:
Push the nylon machine screw from beneath
through the center-hole in the the plate.
Slide the insulating spacer over the screw.
Position the tapered cylinder over the insulated
spacer.
Tighten the hex nut over the screw to hold the
assembly.
